And the cross country adventure comes to an end...

After driving 6,000 miles through 15 states (Maryland, West Virginia, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, California, Oregon, Idaho and Wyoming), visiting a dozen or so national parks/ monuments and a couple of states parks the cross country adventure  is now complete. This trip has been unbelievable. We have seen soooo many amazing and inspiring places and we just barely scraped the surface of possibilities at each place we visited. We also had to skip some major attractions like the Grand Canyon which at one point we were only 100 miles away and Yellowstone which is 60 miles from Jackson Hole Wyoming which was our final destination. If someone were to ask me which was my favorite place we visited it would be a hard decision. We visited so many different places and I saw so many new things that I liked, it makes it difficult to chose just one. However, I think Giant Sequoia National Park, California and Bryce National Park, Utah were the top two. Both parks were out of this world in terms of their beauty and unique natural features. The size of the trees at Giant Sequoia National Park are unreal and the pictures we took really don't do the trees justice. They are truly giant and majestic.  The hoodoos at Bryce National Park are the most amazing rock formations I have ever seen. The really are as orange as they look in the pictures. Its crazy! I also believe if the clouds lift before I fly out of Jackson tomorrow the Tetons would be on this list but unfortunately I don't think this will happen. Overall this trip has been a blast and I would totally do it again in a heart beat. I recommend if you ever get an opportunity to drive cross country do it! Its worth every dime!
